Salisbury Steak
(Billy’s)
1 lb ground beef
¼ cup dry bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup minced onion
1 can (10 ¼ oz) beef gravy
1 tbsp ketchup
1 cup sliced mushroom
In a bowl combine first 4
ingredients & 2 tbsp
onion. Shape into oval patties
in a skillet cook
patties till brown. Spoon off
fat & add remaining
ingredients. Cover and cook over
low heat for
20 minutes stirring
occasionally.
Makes 4 servings.
Best served with whipped
potatoes.

oz. can condensed onion soup
1 ½
lbs groung beef
½ cup
fine dry bread crumbs
1 egg,
slightly beaten
¼ cup
ketchup
1 tsp
Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp
prepared mustard
¼ cup
water
1 tbsp
flour
Mix
thoroughly 1/3 cup soup, beef, bread crumbs, egg,
salt
and pepper. Shape into 6 oval patties. In skillet,
brown
patties, pour off fat. Add remaining soup, ketchup,
Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Gradually blend water
into
flour until smooth. Stir into soup mixture. Cover, cook
over
low heat 20 minutes or until done. Stir occasionally.
