Cool World is about a cartoon artist named Jack (Gabriel Byrne) who has a rich fantasy life but not much of a real life. He is transported into Cool World, a world of all cartoon creations and meets up with a creation of his Holli (Kim Basinger) with whom he has an unnatural obsession. The cunning and seductive Holli tries to find her way into the real world through Jack and uses any means possible to get there and stay there. However, Frank (Brad Pitt) a human living in the cartoon world will do anything in his power to stop Jack and Holli's relationship and her getting out of Cool World.
