Talented Jimmy Bly (Kip Pardue), a rookie race car driver, started loosing focus in the middle of the championship and thus affecting his races making him drop from the rankings. With so much pressure being put on him by his ambitious brother and race promoter this isn’t a surprise also romantic tension building between Bly and his arch-rival Sophia. Car owner Carl Henry (Burt Reynolds) hires former racing star Joe Tanto (Sylvester Stallone) to help Bly. Allow Joe Tanto has to overcome his own problems before helping Bly. As Tanto was in a serious race crash which he almost lost his life.
