Two best friends Rock Keats (Damon Wayans) and Archie Moses (Adam Sandler) have spent the past year together on various small time criminal acts, specializing on car thefts. But everything changes when they attempt a major drug smuggling operation. Rock Keats turns out to be Jack Carter, an undercover LAPD police officer who's after criminal mastermind Frank Colton (James Caan) and his gang. Failing to catch Colton during a false drug dealing LAPD operation, Carter ends up accidentally injured by Moses and the two best friends become enemies. Later, Archie is arrested and agrees to present valuable evidence on Colton to the authorities only if Carter transports him personally. So, as soon as Jack recovers from his injury with the help of a beautiful therapist (Kristen Wilson), his captain (James Farentino) calls him into the office with a special assignment. Meanwhile, Colton's men have orders to eliminate Moses and arrive to shoot down the transport plane. Once again, Carter and Moses must forget the past differences and join forces together against the gangsters and dirty cops to survive.
