In a comedy that serves up some laughs in a sarcastic manner, “Money Talks” sees Franklin Hatchet (Chris Tucker) caught in a tight jam, as he is wanted dead or alive simply by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Franklin had served time with another inmate named, Raymond Villard (Gérard Ismaël) an international diamond smuggler. While in transit, Villard’s partner, Dubray (Frank Bruynbroek) pulls off an escape attempt and frees both Villard and Franklin who happens to be handcuffed to the smuggler. Over hearing where the last shipment of stolen diamonds is hidden, Franklin escapes and this is what makes the average car wash attendant Franklin Hatchet a famous man and only one person can help him, a journalist named James Russell (Charlie Sheen) the man who put Franklin in jail in the first place.
