The Blob sees what happens when a strange meteorite falls to Earth. Along with the alien rock is something else alien, a blob-like substance that absorbs and devours everything it touches. Now the town poster child for slacking, Brian Flagg (Kevin Dillon) may be the only one who can do anything about it. When circumstances lead him to the aid of his high school crush, Meg Penny (Shawnee Smith) the two are faced with trying to warn an entire town of the impending doom of the ever growing blob. Just as the two teens are able to convince Deputy Bill Briggs (Paul McCrane) of something alien killing the townsfolk, the military show up lead by Dr. Meddows (Joe Seneca) who knows more about this blob than he lets on. Can the town’s authorities work together with the secretive military black ops group to defeat this blob? And just what is the deal with Reverend Meeker (Del Close) who sees this blob as a holy angel?
