It's Friday and Craig Jones (Ice Cube) is still living at his parent's place in the South of Los Angeles. While he's looking for a new job, Craig is dreaming once again about that glorious Friday four years ago, when he managed to defeat local punk Debo (Tommy "Tiny" Lister Jr.). But now Debo has broken out of prison and wants to take revenge on Craig. Being concerned about the safety of his son, Mr. Jones (John Witherspoon) sends Craig zu Uncle Elroy (Don "DC Durry) and Cousin Day-Day (Mike Epps), who recently won the lottery. But the biggest problems are just starting: Uncle Elroy and Craig's sex-addicted aunt are broke and stoned all of the time. Craig's hysteric cousin loses his job in a record shop and his pregnant ex-girlfriend demolishes his beloved car. On top of that the leader and uber macho of a Mexican gang of dealers is living just next door - with lots of money, a beautiful sister and a huge dog. As Debo's appearing in this already very chaotic situation, Craig's longing for his old hood was never greater...
