Madeline Witrz (Hedy Burress) and Margret Sandovsky (Angelina Jolie) are two girls that seemingly have nothing in common. In fact they don’t even really get along at all, until they both share the horrible experience of being sexually abused by a teacher. The two girls along with three others, who have also been sexually abused, take the law into their own hands and savagely beat and batter the teacher. This shared experience creates a strong bond between the girls and they become friends. They have now learned that they can create their own opportunities in life and they begin to actively assert themselves. While doing this is indeed empowering, it also makes them vigilantes and they become an extremely dangerous group of girls.
