After an accidental death of a woman at The Blue Ribbon Laundry in a small New England town, Officer John Hunton (Ted Levine) begins to investigates the laundry, it’s owner, Bill Gartley (Robert Englund) and the circumstances surrounding how the woman got caught and crushed by the laundry’s folding machine. Hunton starts to realize that there is more to this death then just an accident. Gartley’s exerts control with his political connections and after a boy is found dead under unusually circumstance, Hunton enlists the help of a Theoretical Parapsychologist Mark Jackson (Daniel Matmor). Together Hunton and Jackson discover the evil behind the murderous laundry machine known as “The Mangler” and its connection with Gartley’s continued success. The Mangler demands blood and its up to Hunton and Jackson to put an end to this evil, but, Gartley has other plans as he sets his eyes of Lin Sue (Lisa Morris) and his niece Sherry (Vanessa Pike). Now it’s a race to save the girls and the town as Jackson and Hunton fight off an army of electric machinery in what Jackson refers to as, “Transference of evil.”
