Sarah (Brittany Murphy), a writer from a very wealthy family, falls head over heels in love with Lee (Ashton Kutscher), a radio traffic reporter. The young couple first ran into each other on the beach, when Sarah was walking her dog and a football, passed by Lee, suddenly hit her. Against their family and friends’ wishes, the couple gets married and heads off to a honeymoon in the beautiful country of Italy. However, the couple’s honeymoon quickly turns into a nightmare. Sarah’s parents send Peter (Sarah’s ex-boyfriend) to follow the couple and break-up their marriage. Combined with continuous back luck, the plan seems to work, leaving the couple hating each other.
